Here Today

Here today and gone tomorrow

Troubled times are here to stay

Everyone has loads of sorrow

Wash it down, watch it drift away

It’s useless to deny my state of mind

It’s pointless to be flying deaf and blind

All around there’s a world of hell

Where we’re bound- all that’s deep is not well

And another thing, I can make it by myself

And another thing, I don’t need somebody else

To feel my way across the narrows

There’s a path here to borrow

Or I’ll cut my own with plows and harrows

Here today and gone tomorrow

For tonight I’m going to leave it all behind

Developing a sort of peace of mind

Comes a time, no exit can be found

It’s a sign, all we face must turn around

And another thing, I’m not really on my own

And another thing, a life (alive) is not alone

Fear today, but strong tomorrow

Reinforcement’s on the way

Killing time depletes the marrow

New perspective joins the fray
